When A Big News Story (As We Have Seen Today) Happens, What News Source Do You Go To?
Do you go to a news channel - Sky News or BBC News? A newspaper site, or one of the new media sites such as Huffington Post?

However, wherever possible, I like to check primary sources as well. For example, earlier today BBC radio news was reporting that the Foreign Office was 'advising against all but essential travel' to Brussels but a quick look at the FCO website shows that to be untrue:

Prudie...I wonder whether we are the last generation to think of newspapers as being the first place to go for news.
There are a number of people at work who found out about Brussels today because of Twitter (Huffington was posting before anyone else) rather than traditional sources.
But then, after that - colleagues logged onto the BBC and Sky News for further details.
But the problem with the BBC is that it's ultra-reticent to publish anything until it has rock solid verification. I suppose it has it's international reputation for accuracy to maintain.
