Good Morning Early Birds

Saturday. Lots of rain overnight, more to come. I don't think I will be too busy on the canal today.

I went down there yesterday to meet a friend to show her what we get up to. She was impressed. She lives not too far away, but didn't know the canal was there! She was impressed, to say the least.

Another friend moored his boat outside and came in for a cuppa and a natter. To cut a long, and probably boring story short, when my friend had to go, I had a ride up to Gloucester on the boat, had a cuppa with him and his wife (we swap dirty jokes) then he drove me back to Saul to collect my car. A very nice day.

Morning Boaty. Caught the sun a bit too much yesterday. It was so windy I didn't realise how hot it was. I'm usually quite careful. Factor 30 for me today...

I'll go out and about in the sun with sun block on. OH is ginger so is proof that sun block works. There's not one inch of him that has changed colour...

Alba....the food is lovely. I've had mainly seafood, which is my favourite food.

only asked about the food as a sil and her hubby went to Malta a couple of years ago, she loved it as well as the food, hubby didn't like the food at all, the fussy ***

They are used to catering for the armed forces, so the food standard was very good. Nice to see it hasn't slipped.

The portion sizes are massive. We shared a seafood pasta dish and when we'd finished it hardly looked like we'd started.

That hasn't changed either! You have to be really hungry to venture in. :o}

But then again, I see food and I eat it (apart from kidleys, liver and tripe)

I don't like tripe. Liver wrapped in bacon and casseroled. wonderful. :o}

Steak and kidney pie, mashed spuds, mixed veg and onion gravy. Delish. :o}

Going to the pub across the road for home made fish and chips today. Football is on later so well probably have a snack after that.

Ive woke up with a stiff
