Huge thunderstorm in South West Scotland, hail the size of marbles, knew that yesterday's heat wave would bring grief, what is it like with you?

Hot and muggy.
Dull & muggy. Don't send your weather down here Dom
A couple of rumbles in the central belt, dominie, a bit disappointing after all the build-up.
The Radio Scotland weather burd did say we could expect more later though, possibly coming from your direction. Skies are clearing even as I type though.
big rumbles in edinburgh
Nothing in Gloucestershire.
that looks bad, but it's moving north, not south

We are getting the same treatment here in N.Wales dom. Thunder storm since very early with hailstones at about 7am, as you said the size of marbles. The weird thing is, as the hail is belting down almost vertically and the lightning is flashing, it is so warm and humid that it is disorientating. Plus this morning is bins and recycling collection day. So there I am with shorts and flip flops, a plastic pacamac, and an old sun hat belonging to "She who must be obeyed". When I had done I felt like a boil in the bag experiment.
Good grief, it's suddenly almost dark. I think we're about to 'get it'.
We were expecting thunderstorms by now, but it's clear and very windy. Maybe we'll get them later.
here with a vengence !!

It appears to be clearing up now and moving north. Maybe I can go fishing later. The link above gives a good lightning tracker once you have figured out the settings that you want.
where are you Dom ?
Massive rumbles flashes yadda Yadda yadda....had a waterfall too...sitting in the house with all the leccy turned off (in lothians I should add) this was NOT how I planned to spend my day.
turn leccy on lel..no need for otherwise
At the time dom was posting Stranraer was getting a taste Minty.
Nothing here in N. Wales, despite the deluge of biblical proportions predicted!
Now brightening up nicely.......
I'm on Tayside.
It is black as night here,
Lightning, thunder, and heavy rain.
Where did summer go?
thunder, lightening, heavy rain, muggy, I am just outside Edinburgh,
Where are you ChillDoubt? Up on the coast in the Conwy area we had a deluge about 7am for an hour and I could see the lightning grounding across the bay in the Rhyl area and out at sea towards the Liverpool bar. brightened up lovely now though.
I'd love a storm here in Northants - might clear the vile humidity for a bit
