Friday. No frost this morning. I hope it's nice when Helios get over the hilltop. I can get some bits and pieces done outside. Yesterday was nice in the afternoon, it was quite pleasent doing odds and ends in the garden, still a lot to do.
I reckon a trip to Wotton-under-Edge is on the cards for today. Must get some eggs, a visit to the farm.
Morning boaty, hope you are well. Today I have to erect a twenty foot flagpole that I got for my wife for Christmas. I prefer a low profile, but she's wanted one for years. Then decorations to take down, and store. I'm relieved the silly season is over, now for the silly rest of the year.
I'm fine thanks. All is well in boatyland...at the moment!
Yup. Silly season over for another year. I don't put decorations up just a line for the cards, I took that down yesterday. As you say, we can now get back to whatever passes for normal. Silly rest of the year could well be right!
What flag is your wife going to put on the flag pole?
Looks like you need five flagpoles! The Union Flag in the middle, St. George one side, I.o.W. t'other side and your two on the outsides. ;o} That would give the neighbours something to look at! :o}
It's the best time of day, the early morning. Especially in summer. A bit of a walk in the very early hours is lovely. A wee walk along the lane and I can see right across the Severn Vale to the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons. Gloucester Cathedral is on display, the River Severn sparkles. It's just beautiful.

Just got back from 5 hrs in the "big smoke". Most unpleasant it was.
Angry, irrational people everywhere, observed arguments over parking spots, cash register queues. Whatever happened to patience and manners, they weren't young either.
Bought what I needed and hightailed it outer there ;-)
