Chatterbank Rules
Ed, please can you add another one to the chatterbank rules, asking people to think before posting risque jokes?
Many of the jokes being posted, while very funny for us adults, are not the sort of material children should be reading.
There are plenty of adult joke sites available if you google, so there's no reason for people to clutter up this site with jokes that aren't suitable for the whole family.
P.S. I am a childless 40 year old - just in case anyone thinks I'm a mum with an agenda!

This isn't aimed at buttons, but I do report threads that I think go beyond what is acceptable for a family site. I realise that having "fessed up" to this it might make me unpopular. IMHO the subscription that we pay for this site is to take a little time to flag up to ed the stuff we notice that we think should not be here!!
and before you ask, no I was never a school prefect, am not a Mum with an agenda, do enjoy a dirty joke and do swear (too much Mr woofgang says)
Hi ursula,
Thank you for your suggestion. We would indeed like people to think before posting potentially offensive posts. The best policy, at this time, would be to report any post you feel is not appropriate for the eyes of our younger members. This way, the post gets to our attention alot quicker and can be removed.
AB ED
ursula, I know you have stated that you are childless but when did you last stand outside a school or walk by a group of kids in the high street? I can assure you that the little nippers, from all social classes, know more foul language and smutty jokes than most adults.
PS are you sure you are not 43 with your handle???
They don't. That is an exaggeration, as I said. What they know is what they learn from adults, and that includes what they learn from the adults on AB. I don't know if WM shares the necrophilia jokes on AB with his kids; I wouldn't, myself, but then perhaps I didn't go to such a fine school as he did. But whatever he thinks, the AB Site Rules are clear. If he'd prefer to post on sharefilthwithmykids.com, he can. AB isn't the place for it.
Hi Buttons, I wasn't getting at you personally - it was a good joke. There are lots of jokes on CB and because I don't look in there every day I don't see them that often. I just happened to notice your one.
I have teenage nephews and nieces and know what kind of jokes they tell, but as Corbyloon says... I wouldn't be happy if they heard them on the TV.
Thanks for your support people.
P.S. MargeB - I am very happily engaged. The lack of children is a combination of a medical condition and personal choice. But thank you for your concern!
