Do you have mirrored wardrobe doors?

I'm having a wardrobe built along a wall in my spare room....mostly to tidy away all my craft stuff....it'll be about nine feet long and facing a large sunny window.

Unusually for me, I'm dithering about the doors and was wondering should I settle for mirrored doors....

Will they be a faff to clean...look streaky.....or look to cold and stark? I'm not fussed about making the room look larger.....I just want it to look tidier than it does with all my stuff on open shelving....

Do you have doors like this and do you regret it or are you happy?

Thanks Gx

I think a whole wall of mirrorred doors is a bit over the top.

I like glass doors, but went for semi-transparent grey - this gave a partial mirror effect, but was less scary in the mornings ...
Mirrors are there to reflect light and make the room look larger primarily. If you're not bothered about either, don't have them as I'm pretty sure they will be more expensive.
I have a huge mirrored wardrobe. It doesn't look cold because it reflects the rest of the room; it makes the room much lighter; it doesn't get streaky or fingerprinty.

That's a thought, Dave...thank you.....did they get smeary....and did you have to clean them lots....being glass?...x
Just think how fabulous you'll look doing your famed fan dance in front of them!
Nope - the greyness tended to hide any prints - but make sure it is possible to slide them without getting your paws on the glass.

Not fussed about the price, Zacs.....can't really decide on a colour and wondered about mirrors.....

I have a black blinds and curtains, Hc.....not keen on light....but if they don't get streaky and fingerprinty that's useful to know....thank you....x

Well there is that, Cory.......and I can check on my tassel swing at the same time......☺

I see, Dave.....can't really have knobs on I guess.....and they'll be moved more than if it was my clothes wardrobe.....x
Yes, I have them. Yes, I'd have them again. No, not difficult to clean (quick wipe with a damp microfibre cloth)....if in a sunny room, I'd go for a slight tint..mine have a slight bronze tint.
Every few weeks I give my sliding doors a (very) quick wipe with those wet, disposable cloths for cleaning glass. Get mine from Wilko

Ahhhh...so you can get tinted ones, Ginge...thank you.....I'm struggling to search online today because things are twirling but not opening......x
We've got 14 feet of mirrored doors, they make the room look bigger and brighter. Clean them with a Karcher window vac (well, Mr U does!).
If you do them by hand it can take all day, with the Karcher (other makes are available) takes about 30 minutes.
They just need a metal frame, gness - then it's easy to slide them without touching the glass.

The worst wardrobe I ever had featured 'high-gloss' black, frameless sliding doors - they were a nightmare as you had to touch the shininess every time you opened them :(

Thank you, Hc and Ubasses......not as scary as I thought they might be....x
