Ring up worried customer a little overdrawn about cash supply - the problem ?
The answer is " purchasing power " but why - I see the anagram of ring up and an anagram of cash and supply could I guess be power but where do customer and a little overdrawn come in - thanks gang !

I can see the supply/supply pun now (sounds like supple-ly) but have never noticed used asaan anagram indicator before. one to look out for in future. Sorrty about typos- I can't go back to corret typos)

I've seen it a couple of times, here in the Sunday Times 4704, eg -

They do supply cash one always splits (9)

Achievers (they do) - 'i (one) ever' (splits) anag (supply) 'cash'
