Do You Doubt Your Ability To Ask A Question?
31 Answers
I often put question/ answers on here in a way that might be around the field rather than getting to the point, after seeing some of the replies I am beginning to doubt my ability to ask a question, am I that bad or should I call it a day. throughout my life I've been 90 mph, everything I do has to be quick that includes my Questions / answers this reflecting on spelling mistakes, am I the only person on here that has this problem or is it others that very petty minded.

Can't tell you the number of times I've bitten my tongue regarding answers I've received, Report button is also a handy option.
Some, a few, can be petty, don't let them bother you, that's their problem, not yours.

some people cant exist without making a totally passy remark every three minutes TWR
it happens in normal life
but you at 90 mph have roared off and never hear it
some of the gormless one liners are exactly what we got at work.
mindless blah....mouth going twenty to the dozen whilst mind idling
if you asked 'what is XYZ ?' around a coffee table at work
someone was pretty well bound to answer "what is XY-whaaaaa?"
as if the question was so odd it might have been asked by a Martian.
or if they had thought for a 1000 y they would never have come out with something like that ....
I try to supply references to my answers to make them less 'off the wall'. I dont think more than 10% are looked at ever xc by me - judging by the supplementaries which would have been unasked if they had read the URL
Law for example I dont think anyone has taken the advice we give
and there is a chancery QC lurking in our midst ( v bright lawyer who is paid lots for advice). Jim360 is a theoretical physicist and s/o's asked him if he knew what 1+1 was - jimz answers were NOT what the OP wanted to hear.
I used to get a lodda 'wot dat den?' as a running one-liner side splitting gag from the usual suspects after my answers but I think I have kicked unconscious anyone who did it. They're quiet on that one anyway nowadays thank god

TWR you have your own special way about you so just keep doing what you do. At least your posts attract answers. I can understand why some are negative sometimes though. I dont care what anyone says this site is now 90% the same 50 or so people every day. It's like family and familiarity can breed contempt.
