A quote from the BBC story on this subject there, my emphasis. Man with something to sell makes contentious comment to generate news coverage shocker! There's probably a genuine fact about the changing nature of who does the cooking and what people eat in there somewhere, but it's just dressed up as gender politics to inflame debate and promote his show, isn't it?

If women can't cook then they should bloody learn to, A man has enough to contend with is this world and the kitchen should certainly be "her" domain. That is as long as there are not too many gadgets that require a bit of common sense and application. A good old fashioned saucepan and conventional oven should do the trick.
All that aside though, I pay for a housekeeper who can can cook like Keith Floyd on heat. She's great.
