Porn And Romance

Whats the difference?
(probably get deleted but lets try anyway as its a genuine question)
Men often get castigated for viewing porn and yet 50 Shades of Grey was both a best selling book and a best selling film (and written by a woman and *for* women).
In the book/film the 'subordinate' character gets dominated by Grey, the protagonist.
In 'romance' (the Barbara Cartland type) Men are heroic heroes of the white knight style. (and often unrealistic)
So why is 50 shades more popular that Barbara Cartland amongst women?
Do women like porn as much as men but just wont admit it?

For a start both authors are from different times and back when BC was popular that is how women wished men to behave! Where as 50 shades of badly written is for an entirely different model of woman.
As for your second part - Yes SOME women do enjoy watching porn, I have watched it myself on occasion however its not realistic and therefore should never be taken seriously.
