Thinking Outside The Box

Is there anybody here that has ever been encouraged to think outside the box?
Despite having a plethora of views presented to then on here has it ever entered your mind to think a bit differently?

Oh yea deffo but then I am accused of being 'different'....radical....and against the grain. Often one cannot win mate.

yes of course..as we get older, we grow and change and think differently....If I didn't I would still be wearing flares!

I have attended many meeting where we've been encouraged to 'think outside the box'. The usual provision was tea/coffee, biscuits, a large sheet of paper, lots of colourful felt tip pens and a pile of post it notes to stick somewhere appropriate.

I used to enjoy doodling on the sheet of A2.

I'm more likely to be encouraged to think inside the box; or at least get a bit nearer to it.

Well anyone who works somewhere that has gone through lean, continuous improvement, optimisation, process mapping, root cause analysis blah blah will have been encouraged to do this yes. It's not exactly mind blowing.
