Have you ever been in the situation where you only realised that you should have said something but, didn’t think about it until minutes afterwards?
It was my day to pick my two little granddaughters up from school this afternoon. It was the night that my son had his girls as he is separated from his s**g of a wife.
He hadn’t told me that as it was her birthday he had agreed that she should have the girls tonight. I turned up at their school and heard her laughter. She saw me and asked me whether my son had told me of the change of plan.
I said ,”no.”
What I Should, have said was, “oh, I thought you would have been out on the lash on your birthday!!!
As I walked down the street, I was kicking myself.
True true, gness. I call her a s**g because that’s what she is. Going out and getting drunk out of her mind and sleeping with god knows who in back alleys, behind my son’s back. She’s already had an abortion and insisted my son had a vasectomy two years ago.
I have a name for mine too, Chrissa......mainly because I like alliteration .....and it fits.. :-)
Folk say there are two sides....in this case there wasn't....she did evil things......but I held my tongue for the sake of the grandchildren......
Now I hear things aren't going as well as she imagined....she no longer has all the things my son provided for her...though she amazingly expected him to carry on doing so.....and for her latest boyfriend who was pretty broke....
My worry is she will want to return now to the life she had......then I'll speak up......x
Our situation is exactly the same, gness. When I think back to seeing my son crying on my settee, I despise her.
Thankfully she has no hold over my son anymore as he’s realised what sort of person she is, and always has been.
As long as the girls are happy, that’s the main thing. Sadly they’ll find out in the future, when they’re older, just what she is/was like.
Chrissa1 you just reminded me of how I felt when my slimeball of an ex-son-in-law walked out on my daughter. The image of her sobbing her heart out on my settee clutching her two little boys will stay with me forever. She's made a brilliant new life for herself and them, but I would still push him under a bus if I thought I could get away with it.
Do you know, Horselady....I feel exactly the same even after all these years...
My son is doing really well now....despite her efforts to destroy him and the business he built up.....but she is still the one person I would chuck under the bus too.....
I don't dwell on it.....but that feeling never leaves you, does it...x
I understand your contempt having watched my daughter struggling with her son after the cad abandoned them at early age. She made her bed and lay on it. He went off and destroyed two other lives. If Karma exists he's for the high jump. Haters hurt themselves, don't indulge, your better than that.
seenking about it on the way out.... sort of like Scripal
saying "da dosvedanya - I feel nod have dat cub of tea!"
Litvinenko then
far more often I wished I had kept my beeg mouth shut
o god we had a troublesome manager who was also a lay methodist preacher ( and little raver we later found out ) who told the secretaries
and "when you are good you are very very good...."
and I might have added - "and when they are bad - they are better !" thanks to Mae West.
we later found out he was good at being bad too .....
public confession to his flock on a sunday
after he had sent his wife on a holiday - he paid
but she found out anyway
- oh heavens ma big mouth ! all that is a parish secret !
"when I am good I am very good and when I am bad - I am better." - Mae West
she was an actress in the 30s, 1930s that is and starred in films like " She done him wrong"
It was a long time ago Anne :)
she had a big front and that was why the american life jacket was called a Mae West
