We used to look after a little French Bulldog, who has sadly passed away. I felt if I could find a zip somewhere, and undo it there'd be a little girl in there. And I'm not a dog person. They're such fun aren't they!
Ohh, I miss the little French Bulldog, but I'm more of a cat person. I've always had cats. I'd love to have one now. Apparently black cats aren't popular now as they don't photograph well on Instagram etc. WtW?
Feeling a tad doughy after the last few days, six hour drive home today.
Trying to sleep in a motel in the big smoke for 2 nights, sirens, car horns, constant noise.
Lazy git time, a few lagers followed by a simple meal of homemade pizza and herb bread, then my own pillow, zzzzzzzzzzz. (Hopefully).
Our milkman's late today. Does anyone else still have milk delivered?
Back in the day we used to have coal and bread delivered. On Sundays it was the 'winkle' man and occasionally an old chap would push a pram around the streets dispensing vinegar from a barrel. Also remember, in London, the gas street lighter man and trams.
I remember a lot of that arrods, we lived in army married quarters in Woolwich, opposite the Royal Artillery Depot. That was in the late 40's early 50's.
Nostalgia indeed Arrods.
I remember the fruit and veg man, the bread man, the newspaper man, used to be a milkman myself once, all delivering important items.
Then there was the pooman the emptying peoples cans from their backyard dunnies into his stinky truck.
My parents were thoroughly modern back in those days. We had our own septic system with an indoor dunny. Bliss!!!
