Just gave the youngest four their tea (stupidly early I know) and I popped upstairs to the bathroom. Came down to utter panic. Thing 2 had been choking and my eldest daughter had performed the Heimlich manoeuvre on him, good job she had been taught it in school.

Choking is one of the things that scared me most with children. Well done to your daughter though xx little boy next door- 2 years old, died from choking on jelly. Just horrendous.
Choking episodes are very frightening, well done to your Daughter.
O M G!!! That doesn't bear thinking about. Phew!

Well done to your daughter.

Choking is one of my biggest fears.
Well done to your daughter, what a scare though.
I find it amazing that you call one of your children 'thing'!
Well done to your daughter, how's little one now? x
Sherr calls them all things Mex.
well done....a 'heroine' gold medal to her....

He’s ok now, just frightened himself - fortunately we are prone to gallows humour in this family.

I call them thing 1 and thing 2 because I can’t abide the term ‘twins’.
Didn't you give them names?
I think first aid lessons should be compulsory in schools. When you've learnt it, you have the skills for life and never know when you may need them.
Question Author
They have names but I’m not sharing them on here (there’s boy #1, boy #2, girl, thing 1 and thing 2).
Fair enough. I'm pleased that everything turned out ok.
Scary indeed, Sherr....but I'm not surprised that your children are so able.....x
