Surely the complaint should have been made to the firm that made the loaf, not Waitrose?
I read that , what a fussy woman. It it was that bad, how come she had eaten half of it?

I agree with Corby, her complaint was with the bakers.

I was under the impression was responsible.

If a company changes their recipe and you no longer the taste, how is that the retailer's fault?

Your rights are against the retailer (the company that sold you the product), not the manufacturer, so you must make any claim against the retailer.
There was nothing wrong with the loaf though was there? She just didn't like the extra seeds.
