do you remember a girl who got separated from her parents when something tragic was going to happen? she met up with an indian family leaving town. it was set in the uk by the way. every time she went near pylons they made an awful noise and she had to put her hands over her ears. i think she had her brother with her. no one else seems to remember this except me!!??

i remember this tv prog, 1970's... something about a mysterious happening, didnt the girl and her brother, or someone with her, discover a meteorite which was drawing all the power from the electricity system??? i'll find out more... might have been the girl from Lizzie Dripping? dunno - but i'll find out

wow! thanks so much for all the excellent info and links. i cannot believe that someone else actually remembers this programme. i must confess though that as much as i would like to watch the programme again, clips etc. i am sure it would increase my fear once again of pylons. after just over 30 years i have only just plucked up the courage not to put my hands over my ears!! this era also takes me back to lizzie dripping, kizzie and carries war. what a wonderful childhood memory.
