Friday. It's raining. I hope it stops, I'm taking snowflake to see friends in Yate today.
I had an excellent nights sleep for a change, woke up almost pain free! Wonderful.
After my trip to the hearing clinic at Stroud Hospital yesterday I've now got two new state of the art hearing aids, adjust one and it adjusts the other one as well. I was seen by a lovely young lady who gave me a full hearing test, she looked like she should still be in school, but she knew her stuff. I'm happy. I really can't fault our wonderful NHS.
Have a happy day everyone.

Morning emmie. Will do.
sounds like a result for you, i am glad that you are happy..
Question Author
I' very pleased.

How are you this morning?
ok, but i am getting a wee bit fed up with waking so early. first was just after 2 then now, still i have things to do this morning. I have a benefits assessment here at home hopefully between 9-11. I am not looking forward to this one little bit.
Question Author
Be positive emmie. They are there to help you. I'm sure it will turn out well.
i sincerely hope you are right. at least it;s being done before Christmas. though if i am turned down then woul have to take it to appeal. Luckily i have welfare rights advisor sitting in and a friend is popping in too so have support, which is good.
Question Author
That all looks good emmie. They will do their best to get you all you are entitled to. They can make a great difference to your whole life.
i know it does, as i already get Disability living allowance, which is being scrapped in favour of the new benefit PIP>
which is what i am having to apply for.
still by lunchtime it will be done and dusted. then I will have the agonising wait to see if i passed, Lord knows how long that will take.
Question Author
I get DLA. Higher rate mobility. So my car is registered Disabled, I don't pay road tax.
Question Author
It shouldn't take long, they like to get it done as quickly as possible for your sake.
that's good, aren't they on to you to get the new Personal Independence payment PIP for short,as my letter states that DLA is going.
Question Author
I haven't heard anything as yet. No doubt I will!
Morning Birdies. I am up and running early today. Mind you I am going to bed at 8.30pm so not worried. Can watch the Rugger later then do a bit of catch up TV on my Gold Rush series that I luckily set to record. Looks like we are in for a wet morning after a windy night. (outside). Good luck later Emmie.......just don't be getting flustered or start on a guilt trip. Let the assessors have that gig.
i had a letter several months ago, hence the reassessment now.
morning togo..
of course the Wales v NZ is on later, bet Warren Gatland is fuming inside.
Question Author
Morning togo. The rugger isn't until tomorrow!
As Emmie says I can watch Wales v NZ.
