There are so many rubbish comedians on the television.
If I try to watch them, they do nothing for my chuckle gland.
Not only are they not funny, but some scrape the barrel and resort to crudity to try to get a laugh.
Some make me really laugh, Only Fools And Horses for example, but most are rubbish.
I am perp!axed why Ant /Dec remain popular, total unfunny stupidity.
What are your thoughts?

I don’t think it’s as much Ant and Dec being comedians because they aren’t , they’re ‘ presenters’ and they do it well says 19 NTA awards
We're all different....I don't like Only Fools and Horses, for example.

Their pedestrian performances could be bought much cheaper.

Ginge - Who makes you laugh out loud?
What’s a pedestrian performer ?
I hated Fawlty Towers but loved Father Ted, Dave Allen and Only fools.

Most of the rest is unfunny to me or seems forced.
Those cheeky gerodie chaps are smooth IMO.

So cheesy at times but its meant to be.
Lee Mack, Russell Howard....not much else. I certainly avoid a lot of the "popular" stuff eg Miranda Hart, Ricky Gervais, James Corden, Mrs Browns boys etc etc.
Sarah Milligan, Russel Brand are two I just have to turn over the channel.
Can’t stand those two either Arky
I like Jo Brand,Mrs Browns Boys , Faulty Towers,
Humour has always been completely subjective - it's impossible to say if one person is 'funny' or not, they are either funny to you or they are not.

Obviously some comedians' humour chimes with massive amounts of people, like Peter Kay, and others are more niche, like Frankie Boyle.

So for me - Peter Kay can make me laugh until I can't breather, and I loathe Miranda Hart so much even a picture of her will make me on edge!

It's an individual choice, always.
Some are funny, some are not.

I watch and make my mind up whether to watch again, always interested in seeing new comedy talent too.
I can't can't think of many that even raise a smile these days. I like Peter Kay and Lee Mack is OK. To me Dave Allen was the best ever. Victoria Wood unfortunately has left us. She was brilliant. I love Father Ted and Dads Army and happily watch repeats. Likewise One foot in the grave and Keeping up Appearances. Not keen on stand up jokey comediens though. I like spontaneous humour.
I have a general dislake for family sitcoms. The likes of My Hero, Miranda, Mrs Brown, OFITG, OFAH leave me cold, as do some critically acclaimed comedies, like The Office, Royale Family and Gavin and Stacey.

As for individual comics, I dislike Ricky Gervais' shows, but his standup was pretty good, Miranda Hart is just awful, and Tom Allen as funny as a double hernia.

I used to love Ken Dodd.
Now he was funny.
^^^ yes he was ,as was Tommy Cooper
//I don't like Only Fools and Horses, for example//

Thought I was the only one, people get very nasty about not like it!
I can't bear the Canadian woman Katherine something or other, her voice is one of the worst on TV.
It would be awful if we all liked the same thing though so as long as I have an off-button or at least a mute, I'm happy.
Tell you who isn't funny.......birds.
Tommy Cooper used to make us laugh just walking onto the stage. A bit like Eric Morecombe!
