I don't understand a couple of cartooms.
1.Forgotten moments in music history. The cartoon has a younger man in an old folks home with the caption "What the hell was (was in bold) Thom doing here" Googling suggests that Thom is Thom Yorke of Radiohead but if correct I can't work the meaning of the caption. What is it?
2. On page 19 there is a cartoon by Kerina which says "with apologies to Maurice Sendak" and is captioned "Where the wild things were". The cartoon is the same as covers for "Where the wild things are" but instead of a Gruffalo type character it is a person in what appears to be a white cat suit looking miserable. What is the joke, please? Clearly something to do with a change of tense but it is passing me by.

The Forgotten Moments is a play upon the Radiohead track ‘Creep’ which has the line ‘what the hell am I doing here’. The Maurice Sendak joke is that there are no longer any wild things, there is litter, tree stumps & what appears to be the aftermath of bush fires in the background.
