88 in July
63 this summer, at times I get his point though. An awful lot of the back in my day brigade...
46....
I'm a little bit younger than my hair but a little bit older than my teeth.

I still have all my hair and all my teeth. :-)
X'39' - he may have a point!
72...but I don't see myself as someone constantly moaning about the "good old days".
21 in June :-)

I come here because I can feel young for a change ...
75 in July, fit as a flea. Thin on top but still got all my own teeth.
It’s true .
88 next month - I ignore the Good Old Days brigade - I've lived through them - and I really enjoy the rest.
Older and wiser heads prevail. Life experience allows for accrued knowledge to be shared with those younger and less “worldly”. 75 in May
calmck I don't agree. Most of the knowledge (not all obviously) accrued by over 75's is outdated. I find younger people know far more than I did at their age and are on the whole more inclusive, less racist and more concerned about their future than we ever were. The 'Good Old Days' when examined without rose coloured specs, are far less appealing.

JOrdy, you are as usual, very astute in your observations and obviously have all, if not most, of your marbles left to play with lol! x
I find todays youngsters quite thick. Glued to their phones and not an ounce of general knowledge.
Then you are mixing with the wrong young people then Sparkly. Come on ...have you EVER got a captive teenager to help you with your phone/internet/ etc?

Young people don't need to know about general knowledge like we used to -that's what Google is for. I would have saved hours, maybe days in the library had we had Google when I was in my teens!
72 neary 73. I have never been racist , sexist or bigotted. Nor were my parents or my grandparents. I was worldly wise and travelling overseas on my own at 18, encouraged by my parents. My good old days were very good. I don't find today's youngsters thick, but usually sadly lacking in genersal knowledge and often bigotted in their views about older people, and much more gloomy in general than we were.
74 in November ....but young at heart :0)
Totally agree with Apc.
Oh and pretty tech savvy as well
I'm young at heart too Bobby but physically I've been dealt a raw deal! My body thinks its 110!
I'm the same as Apg...maybe as a child of the 60s I've always been open minded and accepting of new people and ideas. My brother...11 years older than me...is the same. One of the reasons I admire him so much.
