Can You Sue A Dentist For Malpractice.i.e.they Extract Tooth Without Asking You?
12 Answers
After a long time away,I went to my dentist to ask him to fit me a new bottom set denture,it’s a long time gone .Only a few pictures survive of when I was a matelo. He asked what he could do for me . And I said I would like a bottom set of dentures fitted to replace those that I lost. Well he did the mouth survey and said to his assistant one of my only 4 remaining teeth would have to be extracted.I picked up on this and said to the dentist NO I don’t want it out because ,I value it for chewing purposes and also it doesn’t give me any pain of any kind and also it is a good anchoring place for the new denture so for these three reasons I want to keep it in as it my tooth at the end of the day.his reply -if you don’t have it out then the new denture won’t go in and then ushered me out of the chair with no dentistry done . He then said do you wat a second opinion,I said yes I do because I disagree with you because the new denture should fit in exactly the same place as the one I lost, I don’t want to get into any arguments as I’m grateful to be registered with an NHI dentist. The second opinion is tomorow, to be given by another dentist WHO OWNS the practice !(fair and impartial ?)just today the P.M said All minor non- urgent ops (incl.dentistry ?) will be mothballed.Advice appreciated.
