Wouldn't do him any harm would it?
There is no proof, it's hope, trust and belief.

I include so many in my prayers especially at times like this, they'll never know but that doesn't matter.
If it makes you feel better!
what mamya said.
Wonder how many of the 6,000+ who have had the virus and died were prayed for? Didn't seem to do them any good.
I think if it had been proved everybody would be doing it
I don't believe in it but many do. If they think they helped by praying then that can't be a bad thing.

I know my mother prays for me daily and she believes it helps me, it gives her comfort.

The downside...what when someone dies, how do all the people praying feel? Pretty crap I reckon.
Lol, I think, as always, Theland has an answer to that but I wouldn't bother him.
Can you say one for me while you're at it.
You don't feel dreadful if your prayers aren't answered as such, as I think (certainly for me) they are offered up in hope, not in sure and certain expectation.

Gulliver, certainly.
Thank you Mama.
Praying will help those that pray but no one else unfortunately IMO not a believer in Godfrey.
All Godfreys?

Totally agree. Perhaps my initial answer was a tad flippant but for those who believe prayer may give them comfort. And, in the (dare i say likely) event their prayers are not answered, it will be because God has a plan.
My answer to your question is no.

In my opinion, no it wont make a difference and no, there is no evidence of prayer having power.

I very much doubt it but at a strange level the minute electrical forces generated by the action might cause changes in energy fields sort of like the chaos butterfly effect
It has the power to make the most needy and fearful part with their hard earned every Sunday Mass or Communion lest they burn in Hell or some other dire fate. :-(
Thank crikey I was never taught that way.
Nope, not the slightest difference, but it also doesn't do any harm. At least you are showing good intentions.
Lynne yes all Gods from any religion that people want to pray to.
