As of today - many restrictions in Thailand are being eased. There has been not one infection in Chiang Mai province for the last 20 days, and so today like Portugal some things are re-opening....but there is still a total ban on all alcohol sales anywhere.
I shall go for my first round of golf on Wednesday - but these are the rules...
At the bag drop you will need to register and have your temperature taken, and then use hand sanitiser.
The Managers have had to provide screens at reception and kiosks.
Everyone is expected to observe physical distancing of 2 metres.
You must wear a face mask.
You must take your passport to show you have not been out of Thailand in the last 14 days.
You must look after and mark your own scorecard, tees and ball.
Caddies will hand clubs to you holding head and not touch grips. You must hand back so caddy takes the club by the head only.
There are some other requirements and there will be signs at each course. There may be Inspectors form time to time and anybody not conforming will be told to leave the course.
DRIVING RANGES, SHOWERS, LOCKER ROOMS AND RESTAURANTS WILL NOT BE OPEN. IT IS PLAY GOLF AND GO HOME ONLY
It will be my first "exercise" for 7 weeks! Looking forward to it!
