Probably put this in the wrong category but as question title. I don't come on here that much and may have missed something about him, I haven't seen any posts from him for quite a while.

He has stopped posting. No-one knows if that's because he is unable, unwilling or permanently unable

AOG was well into his eighties and last time he posted, in February, he was very ill. Although I hope I am wrong I have a feeling that he may no longer be with us.

I seem to recall his last posting was a bit weird. Something like “where is AOG” a thread he never returned to.
Like Jackdaw, I suspect he’s no longer with us.

There's simply been no sign of him since the end of January. In a year when the elderly have been particularly vulnerable, it's hard to avoid the conclusion that he has, sadly, died too this year. I suppose it's a testament to his ability to maintain his anonymity.

I liked him too.
The site isn’t the same without him.
Same with Mikey. He posted so many questions.
They both contributed a lot to AB, no matter what you thought of their opinions.

AOG is certainly missed by me, we often disagreed but that matters not a jot - he was an integral part of the site.

All evidence that has emerged would suggest that AOG is dead.
I liked the guy,but some of those endless threads with Andy Hughes took a bit of swallowing.
He will be missed by many.

Not necessarily on this thread but on other threads enquiring of his whereabouts I find some have got a real brass neck when it comes to pure hypocrisy. I recall many screaming for him to be suspended by the neck or worse yet some of the same were quick in hoping and wishing him well.

AOG is among a vanishing breed. I hope he is still with us and is just enjoying some quality of life away from AB.

Whatever the reason for his absence I find it sad. Often disagreed with him but never any bitterness. Do hope he is still with us.
