No More School Till New Year Now

Little Tigs was poorly yesterday with a headache from which he recovered. He also vomitted a bit in the morning. I rang the school again today to advise that although he had recovered I wanted him to isolate incase it was a viral illness. No sooner had I called the school at 8.30, a message came through from the school saying that a positive case of covid had been confirmed in his year group and that all children must stay at home and isolate. The case had been confirmed on 10th December, so last Thursday. His teacher has posted some work to do on class dojo so at least the chidren are getting some work to do.
He was unwell last Tuesday so I ordered a test for him as he had a slight temp and me too as I felt a little unwell. Did the tests on Weds and posted them Thursday morning. Results came back Saturday and both were negative. I would like to test him again but you can't do the online form as you have to have symptoms. Do I keep him at home to isolate or take him to a test centre which isn't far from us?
My parents went to the test centre today, had their tests done and came back home. My mum went to register online to get the results but she couldn't do it as she had lost the paper with the details! :o(

We were advised to do this as our local borough has asked all school aged kids and their families to get tested before Xmas so any self-isolating can be done with before the new term starts.
