Don't you just love those politicians' euphemisms - here are just three examples, but I'm sure you can provide some more :-

Time to move on = and brush this under the carpet

I apologise = for being caught

Lessons to be learnt = make sure we don't get found out next time

From a Prime Minister:
"I have complete confidence in the Minister for xyz and he has my full support" = "I've not quite finished drafting his resignation letter yet".
