My first opportunity in ages to lie in and I'm awake at 03:30. Typical.

Today I'm having my first haircut since lockdown began and I can't wait. I think I'm too old to rock the Rapunzel look.

Mostly my weekend will be spent on ploughing through work backlogs, but the overtime is all going towards the negotiations so mustn't grumble.

OH had his first AZ jab yesterday and now has "man flu" so I've promised him steak, chips and peppercorn sauce for dinner. Bless him.

Have a great Saturday and a wonderful weekend.

I'm not quite sure how renovations became negotiations but you gotta love autotext...
Morning Lcg.
i have been on and off awake since 4.45 dozed for a little bit, now fully awake. it looks like another nice day ahead, so i will likely venture out to have lunch in the local park. these are days when i wished i had a garden.

Morning Emmie, how are you?
apart from being a bit frazzled from weird dreams waking me up every few hours, im ok. getting a suntan from the nice weather, makes me look and feel good. How are you and the little man.
Question Author
That will be nice, Emmie.

I remember going out for a picnic last year on OH's birthday and the weather was glorious. I look forward to doing it again this year.

Is a 4:45 wake-up good by your standards?
Question Author
We're okay thanks.

I took the little one to Nursery yesterday for the third time. As we waited for them to open he had tears in his eyes. I picked him up and cuddled him and he said, "Bye bye, mummy, bye bye."

I was choked all day.
no. i got used to sleeping right through the night for a long while, but the last month have been waking at least 4 times in the night, as i said these protracted and weird dreams often wake me.
apart from that im ok. Glad to see you and the family are ok..
i bet you were choked up, but its good that he;s got a chance to go to a nursery. once its really regular then all will be good.

I've found high-strength probiotics to be the best sleep aid there is. When I remember to take them (ostensibly for my IBS) I don't wake in the night and my sleep is always very peaceful.
i take a new med for Atrial Fibrillation and i do think its having this effect, but i can't stop it obviously.
anyway unless boaty appears today, he's on something of a
sabbatical though he also has internet problems. Minty is keeping
in contact with him and said she will call him this weekend.
off to the local pub for a pint tomorrow, the first since last year, meeting up with a mate who doesn't drink that much, even she says she's a bit of a lightweight. I hope there is space outside as
they have installed these plastic pods, which i have no intention of using if the sun is out,
Question Author
That sounds most enjoyable, Emmie. The beer gardens round here have been packed.
it doesn't normally get that busy, but it might now that they are open full time. I only hope there's a bench free....the outside space is a suntrap ordinarily, and we have spent a few afternoon there lapping up the sun and the beer....
why will you be working over the weekend, is it just extra revenue for the house renovations......
Question Author
Yes, Emmie, and it pays well. The work wasn't offered out like it usually is, they specifically asked me to do it.
how's the house coming along..
i think some of the birdies are having a lie in this morning, not that i blame them, eminently sensible.
Question Author
House is looking good, thanks, Emmie. The stair man is coming later to finish the oak framework for the glass balustrade and hopefully numnuts from Avanti will come and fit the specially-made L-shaped wardrobe door in the master bedroom.

OH is working on skirting and door frames at the moment.

We had someone come and measure-up for window shutters the other day.

I think I may need to seek out a decent beer garden later...
sounds like a lot of hard work, how long have you been working onthe house now.
get out in the sun for a beer,
