My almost 17 yr old grandson rang last night to aske if we had a Spade, he called to pick it up and I asked what he was going to do with it?
He’s got a really good set of friends and they were going to make some humps in a small wooded area beside us to use with their electric bikes, anyway the police turned up with a report of a shallow grave being dug haha, the police were brilliant and said Well done to them for their initiative, then called back a couple of hours later maybe to see if there was one less of them haha

You mean they didn't get into trouble for digging up public land?
Thats the first thing I thought of Pasta.

Sure I heard on local TV a while back some kids getting a Police Warning for making a mountain bike track on some wasteland.
Didn't make me giggle.
Actually. Some youths were in the wood behind us on those bikes and got a good telling off from my husband, who can look ferocious. I have to join the others Bobbi. Not funny. Also a threat to wildlife.
Lol... there are quite a few places in the woods here, where people have made courses for mountain bikes and electric ones. Nobody seems bothered by it.
Saying about wildlife, tbh, I think they seem to keep away from any noise or people...
But... we did have a post on local fb group, from a lady worried about a "lost deer" and asking people to look out for it. I felt quite sorry for her, after reading about 100 sarcastic replies about these wild animals going wherever they wanted... and how did she know it was lost lol.
Bet the land owner didn't think it was funny.
The police wouldn't be tolerant around here. The boys would have been sent packing. I must admit they were nice enough lads and apologised. Boys will be boys. But digging up land that is not on your property without permission is just not on.
Tsk, tsk. Looks like you've been aiding and abetting a criminal offence, Bobbi :-(
The mask has slipped , It's female.
If it's me your talking about Gully. How do you make that out? And again what has it got to do with this thread?
Not least bit funny. I'd call it vandalism.
I don't see any masks....

They can’t of been accused of vandalism when the police came and were friendly with them, the land belongs to the council and not private
You can't dig on council land Bobbi unless it's with permission. It belongs to the council. There was something on the radio about people doing this and it's not legal. I know the boys were not vandals, but they should have been stopped.

Arh maybe so ,I actually giggled at the thought of someone reported there being a shallow grave being dug, not what they were doing
Ah, but Bobbi. Obviously someone had suspicions and it could well be that a shallow grave was being dug so they called the police. The right thing to do. If someone was digging a hole in public land near my home I wouldn't ignore it. I think as a Nan you should perhaps explain they were doing wrong.

I let him read everyone’s comments on here, fortunately he’s a good lad who we’re very proud of anyway so I’m sure he’ll have taken in the remarks :0)
How dare they be young!? Gits! Showing initiative like that! Lock 'em up I say! ;o) I'm sure everyone else on here agrees. They seem to, anyway.
Hope you wiped your fingerprints off the spade!! ;O)
