You aren’t seriously telling me that a thousand six hundred mile long land border or whatever it is is comparable to a sea crossing thousands of miles away?
And anyway, what are we going to do when it comes to the envisaged armada of dinghies?
Put a big fence across the channel?
Like I say, there’s no comparison with the two situations. The vast majority of refugees from war zones spill over into the nearest territory they can find. That’s how it always works.
Soon there will most likely be another civil war in the country when the northern alliance regroups to counter the probable ethnic cleansing by the Taleban.
And then it will be a thousand times worse
