Can low blood pressure be the cause of heavy, aching legs to the point where walking is difficult?

We think the cardiologist the relative saw has accidentally prescribed too high a dose of BP reducing pills but that will be checked with GP on Monday.
Cardiologist changed her from three 40mg a day to one slow release 240mg because he prefers the slow release. I suspect he's got the dose wrong as BP was okay at all previous checks including a two week twice daily recent check.
All was fine with her usual pills since beginning to take them and this problem only started a few days into the new dose. BP now quite low....well DrGness thinks so... ;-)

p.s. This all came about following a diagnosis of A-Fib about three or four years ago.

I am in the dark here gness as I am not sure what drug you are talking about. Looking at the doses that you have given me I am assuming that you aretalking about 40 mgms of Frusemide and 240 mgmsof a drug called Azosemide which is long acting.
Frusemide 40 mgms is a modest dose Azosemide 240mgms is a high dose.
Both drugs are diuretics and both lower the BP.

You are correct, the symtoms that your friend has could be due to low BP or dehydration through excess peeing.

However if my suppositions re drug identification then forget my post.
