He should be in the commons answering sleaze questions.

Is there a fridge in the hospital by any chance?

Masks are pretty useless for visitors unless you are going to get real close to someone. And even then they wont stop Covid if thats your angle.

They may not stop but surely it would be a show of solidarity with the profession.
Masks are not a legal requirement.
Bound to be one or two fridges in the hospital mortuary, YMF :-J
Why is he a prat ?? He doesn't have to wear one ....
I think he should wear a mask out of respect for the nurses and doctors working in the NHS that have no choice. Its a small gesture.
APG. as a mask only protects the wearer how would wearing one be a mark of respect?
I agree APG.
From the Gov.UK link

//Infection Prevention Control (IPC) guidance advises that patients and visitors across all healthcare settings should wear a face covering, providing it is tolerated and is not detrimental to their medical or care needs. They should also be worn in care homes to protect residents from the risk of infection.//
In England, the legal requirement to wear a face covering ended on 19 July, apart from in healthcare settings and care homes.

So masks SHOULD be worn in hospitals. The clue is, everyone else wearing them.
// a mask only protects the wearer //

Nope.
We are told over and over again that masks don't protect the wearer, but protect others. The more complex masks worn by those who are working with Covid patients are obviously more protective for the wearer.
Sorry I meant to say that masks do not protect the wearer.(senior moment)
Get it in context- when he was with patients and witnessing covid jabs, he wore a mask. He took it off to speak to nurses. Some would argue he was a prat for wearing one at all. But don't let facts get in the way of your opinions.
Wearing a mask in hospital is the Government's rule.
As head of the Government he should know what his own advice says.
He shouldn't take it off at all. He is in a healthcare environment where Mask wearing rules still apply.
I think masks protect the wearer just the same as protecting others. Why shouldn't they?
