Ok it’s a bit of a strange one this but the pub across the road from me has an alarm that regularly goes off in the middle of the night - it was 3am this morning- it is not turned off because the landlord is not there - he goes off to his girlfriends house according to my neighbour - as a landlord isn’t he supposed to be on the premises or make sure someone else is?
It’s really annoying especially when it’s midweek and it disturbs our sleep when we have work to go to

How long does it go on for? I would phone the police every time it went off if it wasn't turned off within a few minutes. Let the licensee explain it to them.

What use is the alarm? Local thieves will know that if it goes off no one will turn up to check it out.

Last night it went on for at least 15 minutes
There doesn't need to be anyone on the premises 24/7, no. Plenty of pub landlords run pubs and live elsewhere.
hi rickoi! - in my east enders mmode
this is not a pub landlord thing - they do have special rules and powers which allows them to deal with beered up customers
BUT
this is a noise thing
alarm now have to silence - and I think they MUST do it within 20 mins and not reset and go off again

so - - ring the council and invent grannies who wee a lot and babies awakening and not going back to sleep - dogs barking,
they will probably help....
