The Metropolitan Police will review its decision not to investigate a Christmas quiz in No 10 after a picture of Boris Johnson was leaked to the press.
The photo, published by the Daily Mirror, showed the PM standing next to a bottle of bubbly alongside staff.
The newspaper said the photo was taken on 15 December 2020 - while Covid restrictions were in place - during a No 10 "virtual" Christmas quiz.
But it is not one of the parties currently under police investigation.
Labour MPs called on Mr Johnson to refer the gathering to the Met after the photo surfaced, but the PM said the force had already examined the event as part of their investigations.
The prime minister's spokesman later insisted to reporters that the gathering in the picture was a "virtual quiz".
But the police then released a statement, saying: "The [Met] previously assessed this event and determined that on the basis of the evidence available at that time, it did not meet the threshold for criminal investigation.
"That assessment is now being reviewed."

When the first image of the event was published, cabinet minister Nadhim Zahawi defended Mr Johnson's actions.
He previously told Sky News:
"What do we see in that picture?
We see a prime minister on a virtual quiz night for 10-15 minutes to thank his staff who had no choice but to come in every single day.
"Sitting in his office with the two people who are closest working with him, no alcohol on the table, not drinking, on a Zoom call or a Teams call, a virtual call, respecting the lockdown rules."

Now that we have a zoomed out image of the scene it would appear that someones story is unraveling before our very eyes

It is obvious that Cummings has months, if not years worth of dirt on Johnson. And is prepared to drip it, like some kind of Chinese water torture until election day 2024.
Rather like the cat that can bite the mouse’s head off in a trice, but prefers to torment it cruelly until every breath of suffering is inflicted, so Cummings toys with our beleaguered PM to inflict the most suffering.

It is only a matter of time before Johnson is toast ;-)
