Many men's new posts concern the important issues in life such as politics and the universe; whereas women's posts concern trivial and humdrum issues such as health, human relationships, food, childrens' welfare etc.
It's a funny old world.

That, Atheist, is because women concern themselves with things they know they can do something about.....change things if needed.....advise others and listen to others....things that really matter to us day to day.

Men just waffle about things they think make them look intelligent and knowledgeable....but don't have to go to the bother of lifting a finger to do anything about because they know they can't.

I think that most religious wars have been started and perpetuated by men (who appreciate the important things in life and like to kill thos who disagree with them) and have been scorned by women (who can only see the trivial side of life, such as bearing and rearing babies so as to perpetuate the human race without slaughter.)

Medical experts (and others) were cancelled for having the wrong opinion...that is now being reversed.

I wonder if it's just here, with my female friends we talk perfectly well about the big stuff, war, politics, crime, etc because we know we won't be dismissed, put down and belittled. Some of us are happy to challenge men with whom we disagree in mixed conversations The difference is we also cover the small stuff because we can. I think it reflects more on men's treatment of intelligent women, than women's interests.

My OP was a tongue-in-cheek comment on what was once (I'm going back a bit - you know, prior to female suffrage and all that) a common male prejudice about the relative intellect and importance of male and female minds and concerns.
The USA Voting Rights Act was passed in 1965 and gave all black people - men and women - the right to vote.

Canary - maybe because the young men were all away fighting - plus women were less likely to receive a smack. Of course, many women love a tough guy who's prepared to fight for them - I understand that wrestling and guillotining were once popular with women.
