But the penalty was only attendance at an awareness course.

Every dog owner uses poo bags here- you can see them all hanging from bushes/trees

Question Author

I believe that comes under fly tipping !

I can't understand the point of paying for bags, picking up the dog eggs then throwing it into the bushes.

Mind you that's just one of many things I struggle with.

newmodarmy, same thing here.  They pick up the poo and put it in bags then either leave it on pavement or at side of road even when there is a proper bin for it not too far away.

they mostly pick up & bin it where I live - certainly improved over the years

cats of course are a different kettle of fish....

Question Author

Yes, most dog owners do clear up after their dogs and perhaps we should pause for a moment to recognise this and thank them for their diligence.

Unfortunately the delinquent few tarnish the reputation of all - it's ever the way

// even when there is a proper bin for it not too far away.//

The problem is the thicko's who dont know the proper bin.  Sick of having to fish it out of the recycling or garden waste bin.

However, as Canary says most do seem to pick it up.  I remember as a kid in the 60's turd hopping was the nations favourite pastime.
