What Was The Name Of The Boy Singer?

There was a talent show a few years ago; it might have been X-Factor, or even before that. It was for singers only. There was a boy who did quite well on it, but I'm pretty sure he didn't win it. When I say 'boy', he could have been 12 or 13, not a child, exactly. The main thing about him, the reason I can't get him out of my head, is that he sang "My Way". When I rule the world it will be illegal for anyone under the age of 60 to sing that song. In googling to try to find a reference to him (unsuccessful), I saw that a child of 5 , Sophie Fatu, sang "My Way" on AGT 2018. Ridiculous! But can you remember the show and the boy's name? Thanks.

No, sorry, not Robbie Firmin. It was before BGT. I've listened to a few seconds of that child's singing. Who on earth thinks "My Way" is a suitable song for a six-year-old to sing? I don't want to lead anyone astray, but the name 'Neil' came to me. I've googled with that name without success.

Is the Neil you are hinking of Neil Reid, boy singer from the 70s who won on Opportunity Knocks? But he sang Mother of Mine rather than My way.

Neil Reid! That's the one! I could have sworn he sang "My Way", but Google says he didn't, or, at least, it won't say that he did. But it's probably Ray Quinn I was thinking of too. He was 18, and far too young to be singing that song. Thanks, Prudie.
