Well, she was dead, but she got better.

Paramedic friend of mine was called to visit at a care home.

Mr OAP was said to be slurring his words, no longer alert as normal and not engaging with staff.

He said as he entered his room the smell of alcohol hit him and the empty bottle of Whisky under his bed was another clue to his condition 😆

First husband was care home manager, staff found a lady 'dead' in her chair, transferred her to bed, prepared her for 'viewing'  he was on the phone, telling the family Mum had passed away when she wandered past the office door.... The suggestion from the GP was some sort of mini stroke but not really certain.

Which is why my mum's Will specified that her 'veins should be opened' before she was buried. This clause used to be quite common.

Earlier, many people were buried with a pull cord to a bell above ground in case they were not dead.
