Today I am extremely fatigued - I just cannot believe it.  What can cause that I have never had that as bad and am feeling so guilty that I can't get up and about.

I am lying in bed but of course can't sleep - to be honest I am worried about it.

I like to have energy to do my dishes, hoover etc etc.  Would it be anything to do with being Type 2.

It is making me so depressed.

It's been hot of late.

If it's any consolation, at my age I get tired a lot of the day too.

Have you had any sort of virus recently, if so you can get bouts of severe fatigue in the recovery phase

they say covid is on the increase...

My sister & her husband had a spell at the start of the pandemic when they couldn't get out of bed except for the essentials for 2 or 3 days. It was early days of covid so not diagnosed but the suspicion was there. No coughs etc.

no rowan witch - no virus as far as I am aware - mind you I am suffering from the two broken toes on left foot which did happen last September and I am suspecting arthritis on the other - perhaps that is wearing me down.

What have you eaten today?

Question Author

bad I guess Barry - bowl of cornflakes, then a biscuit or two - perhaps too many carbohydrates, never felt like this in my life that it makes me lie down

Question Author

too much information too - but I havent been to the toilet about 3 days now (back)

A bowl of cornflakes and a couple of biscuits shouldn't give you a carb fatigues.

Try not to feel guilty jj -you must nurse yourself the same as you would do for anyone else.  Rest and sleep as much as you can  or lie on the sofa and watch TV and doze.

When did you last have a blood test ?  If this extreme fatigue continues do get in touch with your GP

I do hope you feel better soon x

I agree with Rosie.  If you don't pick up in a day or so give your doctor a ring.  I wish you well very soon, JJ.

If you are constipated are you drinking enough water
