Diligent Delivery Drivers.

A few days ago a delivery driver attempted to deliver a parcel.  While the address was right , the name wasn't and he took it away with him.

Getting up early this morning to put out the bins I saw it sitting on the doorstep.  He'd come back and delivered it by stealth.

What to do with it now?

So they got your name wrong.

You could stick it up your jumper and wait to see if anyone else claims it.

Do you know what it is? Is it clear it's for you but just and error on the label?

Is there a return address on the label or any company logo.

Google the company and then contact them and advise them of the situation.  Where that has happened to me in the past with flowers I have been told to keep them.

The street I live in has a WhatsApp group.  I asked on it if anyone knew where he lives and got an almost instant reply from a neighbour.

His house number ends with 8 and mine with 3.

Problem solved.

I got a parcel to my address (no. 50). I opened it to find the sender. There was an address but no phone no. I wrote to the address & got a call saying it should have read no 58 so I took it round. It contained & few small gifts & £200 Morrisons vouchers!
