Just watching this on Freeview channel 50.

Wondered if any knowledgeable individual knew of what was changed compared to other episodes that made it so $*^$$@$& awful ?

It's disjointed, jumps from one point to another, dialog and acting is abominable. It's like they gave it to the kindergarten to put together because the usual staff had gone on holiday.

So flabbergasted I just had to ask.

That's the last ever episode, perhaps the rushed the edit.

Was it a drug-fuelled fantasy episode?

They tend to look good on paper.

Question Author

Didn't see many drugs. It was the production, the music, and the incessant jumping without proper linking, on top of all the previously mentioned flaws above. Like chalk & cheese compared to other episodes.

Hard to believe it was released; must have escaped when no one was looking.

That's the last ever episode, perhaps the rushed the edit.

Really ? That may explain it. Cheers.

"In order to complete the planned 26 episodes, finance was sought from other sources. Production company Nielsen Ferns came on board but was understandably keen to promote its home country, so the final four stories, titled The New Avengers in Canada on the caption card preceding each episode, saw the action move to Toronto, Ontario (with scenes for the episode "Forward Base" shot at Ward's Island). Brian Clemens was by this time heavily committed to working on The Professionals for LWT, and control of the series passed to a largely local crew. The results attracted heavy criticism both from fans and from Clemens himself."

Justifiably so, as I have just discovered.
