Her injuries are said to be potentially life-changing.  Others were also injured and two policemen were taken to hospital after feeling unwell.

The report makes no mention of any arrests so it's possible the perpetrator fled.   I hope he's caught - and soon.

No mention of any description either

Question Author

No, webbo, nothing.

Well he/she wont be caught unless Plod give a description.

This needs to stop.

What a revolting and cowardly thing to do.

Hopefully locals will be on the lookout for anyone sporting any injuries on the animal responsible and will report them to the appropriate authorities for instant action without fear or favour.

We can only hope Douglas.

Question Author

I still can't find a description of the perpetrator.  The police are asking for witnesses.

just awful

note the report said 'acidic substance' - and the big thing is - did any go into her eyes?

A quick scan of the usual places and not even the Daily Mail can penetrate the wall of silence surrounding the incident.

Not even a hint.

I suspect he's a fellow pupil.

Question Author

They don't seem to have apprehended anyone, Tilly.  They're asking for witnesses and there's no description but people must have seen him.

should anyone wonder: the first aid is  to plunge their face into a basin of water, quick quick

they dont like it

If the person who did this goes to that school, then surely the people who were injured would know who did it.

If the young girl who was seriously injured could speak, perhaps she might have been targeted by someone who is not a pupil from that school, but maybe she could say who did it.

Potentially lifechanging with acid suggests (to me) blindness, which is awful.  I thought schools were more protected these days (certainly are where I live as I discovered some time ago when I delivered a Freecycle item) but I guess total impregnability is impossible.  I hope they've got CCTV image of the attacker who should be locked up for life.

Black, wearing a face covering and riding an e-scooter according to BBC.

finally a description, most of london then

\\No arrests have been made, but police say the suspect rode an e-scooter and is described as a tall, slim, black male, wearing dark clothing with his face obscured, possibly by a mask or balaclava.//

Also should lock up who sold him the substance as probably under 18 and should not have been able to purchase whatever substance it was.

'A 35-year-old man has been arrested after a suspected acid attack on a girl outside a school in west London.

Teagan McFarlane, 14, remains in hospital with "potentially life-changing" injuries and has undergone surgery.

A 16-year-old boy was also injured outside Westminster Academy, Westbourne Park, on Monday afternoon, while a staff member was hurt trying to help them.

The Metropolitan Police said the man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and remains in custody.'

Question Author

Thank goodness they've arrested someone.  I wonder what his motive was?

we are doing the usual dance so I think we can assume what the perp is.

No, TORATORATORA, you're the one doing the usual dance.
