- Your flight must be delayed by at least 3 hours at arrival to be eligible for flight delay compensation. - For a delay at departure of at least 2 hours, the airline must provide you with a meal (or meal voucher), refreshments, access to wi-fi, and 2 phone calls.

Very kind of you to inform us, I'm sure.

If the delay was caused by an 'extraordinary circumstance' you will not be entitled to compensation..

Ie my flight was delayed by 6hrs the airline explained that the thingamabob that connects the whatdoyoucallit had broken and it was a extraordinary for that part to fail. No compensation was due.

dustypuss, airlines often try and use that one, (extraordinary circumstance) to get out of paying.  If it was me I would still try and get it.  A fault with the aircraft is not one.

I went to a no win no fee lawyer . And after 6 month they gave up.😡
