New York Corner 80S Advert

Years ago, on a TV like 'Tarrant on TV', there was an advert: a reporter stood on a New York street corner, waiting to interview a typical New Yorker about their new product, a ‘why do you like product x?’ thing. The joke being that there wasn’t a ‘typical’ New Yorker to interview, as everyone was so different, such as a jugler, a rapper, clown, etc. I think it ended with something like 'it's now several hours later, and I'm still waiting for a normal person to come along...'

Any ideas?
