Was working online till 4am, finally crashed out for 2 hours until one of my feline friends decided it was breakfast time!!  I did ignore her for as long as I could, honestly. Nothing particularly new today - just more work and also housework slipped inbetween.

Was just reading DDIL's post slightly lower down about STILL having no power and I'm just stunned that it's still ongoing. Dreadful situation so if anyone wants to head over there with any words of encouragement or advice I'm sure they'd be most appreciated x

Hope everyone is ok today, and staying inside where they can.

Morning Smow.  Fortunately all we've had is a few strong gusts of wind, no real weather problems so far.  It's mild and still outside my windows today.

Good late morning, also a late bird not waking till gone 7.30.  No excuse like you though, working till 4am, you must be either very keen or mad.

Not a good day yesterday, Mr U quite unwell with a nasty bacterial infection, he got a GP appointment who was tossing up whether to send him straight to hospital for intravenous antibiotics or let him take strong tablets at home.  Mr U persuaded him to let him have the tablets but if he gets worse it is straight to hospital immediately.

Our new bed is arrivng today, thank goodness we paid for them to put it all together. I will appeal to their better nature to get the new, very heavy mattress (delivered a week ago) from the spare bedroom onto the bed.

Will have a look at DDIL thread, is she/he in Scotland, got a text from my brother yesterday, he has trees down and lost some fencing, (Borders region)

Morning Barry - yes it like that here today, mild with some strong gusts.

Hi ubasses - mad or keen, umm probably both I think lol.  Not sure where DDIL lives tbh without reading more details, but it's now been days without any power at all and sounds dreadful.

Ohhhh. not good at all!

Good morning Smow and all. Mizzly rain here and dull, such a change from yesterday. Like you I intend to stay inside today. Has anyone had their postal deliveries upset? I am waiting for some important letters and have not seen a postman for nearly a week.

Can't believe it's February at the end of the week! Have a good day all.

Good morning all.   Ubasses, wishing Mr U a speedy recovery.    Its a quiet day for us here. I think we have missed the worst of the weather, just a bit overcast now.

Have a happy day everyone

sorry to hear that Ubasses- I think the optimising option was Hospital for a few days ( 48 h) and then home

I was up and doing 0400 - paroxysmal norcturnal duspnoea - I had no idea it was so un pleasant

Shall I take an extra 40 of Frooz ? Yes - cleared in about an hour. I had locked the house and cdnt get down to let anyone in .... phew
