Well how else will you get a connection unless an engineer comes out - having already done so at your other address - and does it all again.. Doh!!.
They've quite clearly told you it normally costs �40 for existing customers, and that is what you are, so why the gripe? - had you not moved, you would have used up your 12 month agreement and then carried on paying the proper price OR cancelled it altogether if you wished.
REGARDLESS of the address(you;re missing the point completely as you are relating to it physically) i cannot see how they can fail to enforce an exsisting contract just because of an address change- does your electricity supplier or bank or even car dealer up charges and ignore an exsisting contract simply because of an address change? - i dont think so
oh and they told me i would be on EXACTLY the same contract-NO mention of additional charge!
