went to a fortune teller recently as my head was rite up my a*se after id split from an x...anyway everything she told me was true ,,that i had just finished a relationship,that id be travelling very soon,was going 2 thailand that day!told me there was no loove in the relationship which i now know to be true....she also tol d me that aries,aquarious and i think sagatarious or wotever u call it woman would all bring me grief...there was def a lot of truth in wot she told me,,im a bit of a scptic too....so wot u think...im scorpio and just wondering why this is and who would be rite 4 me???

Sorry DMA but apart from the recently splitting up bit that "fortune teller" has just perfectly described me in every detail!!! (And absolutely no offence meant, but anyone that has just had their heart broken is usually pretty easy to spot.) For what it's worth, I'm a Gemini. Star-signs are as compatible as individual people.

These people are con-artists that prey on vulnerable people like yourself & have no problem with taking money off you under false pretences, even though you are clearly suffering and just searching for a way out of a painful situation. Fortune tellers / mediums / psychics / etc will tell you what they think you want to hear. They have no real answers & certainly do not have the magic powers they pretend to have.

Everybody here has experienced the sh*t from the break-up of a relationship and different people deal with it in different ways. No-one can make that pain go away quickly I'm afraid but it will pass in time - if you let it. I'm sorry I'm not very good at offering practical advice in these situtations but the best I can suggest is to keep yourself busy, keep your chin up & try and look positively towards the future. Much easier said than done, I know, but you will get over this and, with time, you'll be meeting compatible people from all 12 star-signs!

I agree with stoo_pid. Cold reading is very easy once you know how..for a start, how many people go to fortune tellers after a relationship breaks up? I would say it was a high %. Most people go on holiday at least once a year, & as for a particular star sign giving you grief ~ I can only tell you that my mother in law & my mother are the same star sign (born 2 days apart) and are like chalk & cheese.

Compatible star signs? apparently my sign isn't compatible with my husbands, & we have been together 11 years getting on like a house on fire ~ totally compatible in every way! I do read horoscopes, just for a bit of fun. My dream house has been in sight for almost 8 years now, so I don't take it seriously at all ;o)

Most fortune tellers are con artists. Most astrology you read in the newpapers is written by the work experience girl! But astrology is considered a science by those who study it, not superstition. I am no expert, but I do know that the character stuff is TOTALLY accurate!! If you look into it properly. You cannot generalise and say that all Aquarians are like x. Everyone is different, and has a completely different birth chart depending on when and where they were born.

I have had my chart done, and I have an ephemeris so I, can look up other people's planets. It is fascinating. I am a sceptic, but the character bit has proved itself to me time and time again.

For example,dmaxxm, as a Scorpio you are very sexual, mysterious and quite private, and find communicating difficult. You are intense and passionate, and can become obsessive. People had better not cross you, 'cos if you make an enermy, they are in trouble! That is Scorpio. HOWEVER, only your SUN sign is Scorpio. Your Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars,Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto would all have been in different places too. We tend to read only the Sun sign, but the Romans (for example) read Moon signs, which are just as important, apparently.

Each of the planets accounts for a different aspect of a personality- Sun is what you ARE, Moon is what you NEED. Mercury is the way you communicate. Venus is Relationships. Mars is how you direct your energy etc etc.

I have found this to be uncannily accurate. So, be careful of paying people to read your fortune, but do look into Astrology as a science!

Honestly !! Can't believe that anybody really believes all this nonsense ! Your life is largely what you make of it with the usual allocation of mishapsand successes thrown in which all of us must expect from time to time.

Yes. I never said that the fortune telling aspect bore any truth! Life is what you make it. But the character stuff... it works.
