i love football, but i heard a commentator ask today if was a lot to ask of some players to play 2 games in three days!!!!!!!!
WHATS THAT ALL ABOUT ?
these pampered, professional, so-called 'fit' players, who have access to luxury treatment from physiotherapists etc etc should surely be fit enough to play this often. they dont actually run non-stop for 90 minutes either do they ?
i play badminton competitively, and i am older than most professional footballers. our matches last two and a half hours sometimes, and often we play 3 matches a week, - no pampering for us !
are they just too cosseted ? what do you think ?

these people are trained professional athaletes !!!
you can go watch kids play football every day of the summer holidays, the same kids playing day after day. no matter what weather.... kids that dont get 50,000 a week.
in my opinion these professionals are pampered and over paid....
im a baggies fan so was DISGUSTED to learn that one of our STRIKERS didnt play in last weeks game against the villa because he had a BRUISED TOE !!!!
Sorry to say it, but they are all a bunch of ******* !
It will be the manager who decides and not the player and I guess they will say they have to protect their investment. I have never played top level football so wouldn't like to comment on how much a game takes out of you but I would imagine it could take it's toll & the manager will always be looking for 100% from his squad. I know as a gambling man you never risk your hard earned on a horse that has been turned out to quick ........
