Australian film about survivors who died

I saw a film on TV, maybe early 90's. I remember it to have Australian actors and be about three survivors of some scientic experiment that went horribly wrong.

One guy wakes up and finds there is nobody around, he eventually meets a woman and later another man who are still around. The story transpires that all three of them died at the moment of the catastrophe, I think the woman took an overdose and one of the men was drowned.

If anybody knows the film I speak of, please let me know.

Yep..THE QUIET EARTH i actually watched this movie the other week..(hired it)..as i remembered it from ages ago...its not as exciting as i remembered it the first time round.
