He claims he's fine, even though he's being tested to see if he needs a pacemaker to deal with the irregular heart rhythms he's been suffering from. He claims that his ability to fulfill his duties as Vice-President would not be affected ' although it depended on what his doctor had to say.
This is the third time Cheney has been in hospital since being elected last year. He has had coronary heart disease for 25 years, since having a heart attack in 1978. He had a quadruple bypass in 1988.
