Slimming World Diet and being Veggie
4 Answers
Hi there!
I'm on a diet to lose weight - basically eating sensibly - BUT I've heard so many people recommend the Slimming World Diet, with green and red days, with green being veg days and red being meat days.
I was wondering how could a veggie do those red days? Can anyone help?
Thank You :o)

If not then try weight watchers, it is about 1 more a week but it completely caters for veggies.

Hi
I like Slimming World. Lost 1st since Jan 8th!
If you are a veggie (Im assuming you dont eat fish) you dont really have a red day as your proteins are all 'superfree' anyway so you can have them when you want. Red is for meat lovers and as you arent you dont need red days!
Anyway, you can eat eggs, tofu, quorn, veggies, fruit etc etc and a limited amount of nuts and cheese.
Look on teh website and follow the green route, and go to a meeting and have a chat.
Good luck.

I'm a veggie and I've done Slimming World before and I think it's probably easier for veggies - particularly if you like quorn. Quorn is 'free' so you can basically still eat potoatoes, pasta etc and all your veg, and cook yourself something with quorn and your dinner won't use any syns (unless you use olive oil etc). Good luck
Thanks for your replies and Well Done on losing a stone Bev! That's fantastic!
I guess it's worth a try, I'm just really scared of going to a meeting, I'm worried I'll be the biggest there and everyone will stare!
I've been doing it on my own since 20th Jan and I've lost 10 pounds so far, but the last two weeks I've not lost anything, it's kinda stuck so I thought a more structured diet might help - Slimming World seems a good idea!
